How to buy OMI in the StackR wallet (built-in card / Coinbase on-ramp)

Can I buy OMI directly in StackR?

Yes. The StackR wallet has a built-in buy flow — you do not need a separate exchange account. You can fund your wallet directly with a debit/credit card or bank transfer through the built-in Coinbase on-ramp, and convert to OMI inside the wallet in a couple of taps.

There are three ways to get OMI into your StackR wallet. The first is the easiest for new users.

Option 1 — Buy directly in StackR (card / bank, Coinbase on-ramp)

  1. Open your StackR wallet (tap the wallet icon, top-right — see How to access your StackR Wallet).
  2. Choose the Buy / Add funds option.
  3. Enter the amount and follow the Coinbase on-ramp prompts to pay with your card or bank.
  4. Your funds arrive in your StackR wallet on the Base network — no manual transfer or network selection needed.
  5. If you funded with USDC, tap Swap for OMI to convert (see How to swap USDC for OMI).

This is the fastest path — everything happens inside StackR and the on-ramp is handled by Coinbase.

Option 2 — Swap USDC you already hold

If you already have USDC in your StackR wallet:

  1. Open your StackR wallet and tap Swap for OMI.
  2. Confirm the amount and press Confirm Swap.
  3. Your OMI balance updates in a few seconds.

Option 3 — Send from an external exchange

You can also buy OMI or USDC on an external exchange and send it to your StackR wallet address:

  1. Copy your StackR wallet address (see How to access your StackR Wallet).
  2. On the exchange, withdraw selecting the Base network.
  3. Always double-check the address and that the network is Base before sending — sending on the wrong network can mean permanent loss.

See How to send and receive OMI on Base Chain for details.

In short: you can buy OMI without ever leaving StackR — use the built-in Buy option (Coinbase-powered fiat on-ramp), then swap to OMI if needed.
